What helps me answer
Numbers. The length and width of the room, the ceiling height, which direction the window faces, and where the doors swing. Those five things settle more questions than a photograph does, and without them I am guessing along with you. If you can add what your lease lets you fix into the wall, better still.
What I cannot do
I do not take paid consultations, I do not draw plans for individual rooms, and I will not tell you whether a specific sofa fits, because I cannot see your floor. If a question turns out to be one a lot of people have, it may become an article, and I will tell you before that happens.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, say so. A measurement I got backwards or a method that fails in a house older than mine is worth more to me than a compliment, and the fix goes on the page with a note about what changed.
